Small Animal Internal Medicine

Our Clinician provides different level of services you’re your first opinion practice to adapt to your needs. These services are teleconsulting, telemedicine and/or on-site consults and procedures for routine and urgent cases.

Internal medicine focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting multiple organs in the body. For example: the respiratory system, the gastrointestinal or urinary tract among others.

These services can be requested as routine or urgent cases.

Consultation

Some examples of problems that may benefit from an internal medicine specialist consultation or guidance are:

- Increased water intake or increased urination

- Weight loss or weight gain

- Hypertension

- Chronic coughing or nasal discharge

- Chronic vomiting or diarrhoea

- Constipation

- Difficulties urinating

- Haematological abnormalities such as anaemia/erythrocytosis, neutropenia or thrombocytopenia.

- Management of endocrinopathies such as diabetes mellitus or hyperadrenocorticism.

- Management of immune mediated conditions such as immune mediated haemolytic anaemia, precursor immune mediated anaemia, immune mediated thrombocytopenia…

The expected turnaround time for the advice within 12/24 hours for routine cases or within 4 hours for urgent cases.
