How Does The Veterinary Referral Process Work?

At Precise VetPro, we understand that your pet is not just an animal; they are a cherished member of your family. Whether your dog or cat is dealing with a complex medical issue, a unique condition, or requires advanced diagnostics, treatments or surgery; we can provide the care needed to ensure the best possible outcome and fast recovery for your pet's health and well-being.

However, before seeking our specialised care, it's crucial to first consult with your local veterinarian, as we are a referral veterinary service only. Your primary vet is your pet's first line of defence when it comes to general health. They have a deep understanding of your pet's medical history, overall health, and any ongoing treatments or medications. Your local vet can provide the initial assessment, offer essential guidance, and, when necessary, refer you for further evaluation and care.

The veterinary referral process:

01.

Schedule an appointment with your local vet

Contact your vet to schedule an appointment. During this visit, your veterinarian will examine your pet and discuss any concerns or symptoms you've observed.

02.

Consultation and assessment with your vet

Based on their evaluation, your vet will determine whether our specialist's expertise is necessary for your pet's condition. If a referral is recommended, they will contact us for you.

03.

Appointment

Depending on the speciality and the specific case, we may perform a consult with you or, after close communication with your vet and you, we will proceed with the recommended treatment.

04.

Communication and collaboration

Throughout the entire process, we will maintain open communication with your vet to ensure a seamless transfer of information and coordinated care for your pet.

05.

Surgery and treatment

Utilising top-tier brands and implementing the most up-to-date treatments and techniques, you can be sure your pet receives the most advanced care available.
